Multi-purpose Entertainment Center for a Large Screen TV
Our customer wanted an Entertainment Center for a large screen TV, space for components, and drawers for storage. This piece of furniture takes full advantage of the space available, integrates well with the existing modern cabinetry, the inside uses modern construction techniques, and the outside is constructed to look as if it were built many years ago, by skilled craftsman with a good set of tools.
 | The cabinet has some slight distressing with some end grain stain highlights, and the base adds style and can be built with a simple set of tools. | | Adjustable shelves are used to hold the components, European hinges are used for the doors and bi-fold pocket doors are make up the doors that cover the TV. | | |
The TV rests on a pull-out swivel, for ease in connecting/disconnecting cables and ease in facing the different seating locations within the viewing area.
This job was a challenging and interesting job. We wanted to take advantage of all the space available. The TV and components were existing items; therefore, we needed to accommodate them in the final design. Finally, we built the outside to look like furniture for several years past while building the inside with modern hardware and construction techniques.
We are very pleased with the end product and our customer is pleased with their entertainment center. |
